About the Role:

We are growing our team and looking for a very talented individual to join and lead our team.
The eCommerce Digital Product Designer will contribute and support digital strategy, coordination, and execution as Vevano Home builds and optimizes its organic channel. Focusing on visual site aesthetics and brand marketing initiatives you’ll collaborate with other members of the marketing team (paid media, social, email, content, etc.) as well as product and design to deliver compelling and effective content in alignment with the Vevano Home growth strategy.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a high-growth startup environment and will roll up their sleeves to do whatever is necessary to push the company forward while motivating and collaborating with the team. You have experience working in an ecommerce environment providing the customer-facing content to create an engaging and streamlining brand experience.  As owner of the front-end look, feel, and build of the website, you have an eye for testing, design, and implementation to drive optimal site experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for front-end ecommerce website design and user experience 
  • Maintain brand consistency and quality while providing quality visuals and implementation throughout the site 
  • Maintain and optimize design and code for homepage, category pages, landing pages, and other key site pages and components 
  • Interpret and translate content requests into wireframes, mockups, and build-outs for stakeholders 
  • Manage site personalization and AB testing with a test and learn mentality 
  • Provide graphics for on-site content, paid ads, social, and email, etc. 
  • Own site KPIs – bounce rate, pages per session, page speed, and conversion rate 
  • Stay up to date on SEO best practices for web development, new technologies, and solutions for ecommerce 
  • Function as subject matter expert and QA on all new technology features for both front-end and UI for the ecommerce website CMS 
  • Provide feedback to technology partners to continuously improve ecommerce web platform 
  • See projects through to completion and provide insight into their performance and value-add

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design and front-end development, ideally in ecommerce 
  • Highly proficient in graphic design for ecommerce 
  • Highly proficient in HTML, CSS, and Javascript 
  • Highly detail-oriented, a perfectionist at heart 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an ever-changing world 
  • Experience in designing and building for SEO 
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external team members and stakeholders on projects 
  • Ability to execute upon initiatives and managing to goals and KPIs 
  • Proficient in working with an AB testing or personalization tool (Crazy Egg, VWO, AB Tasty, Monetate, etc.) 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Google Analytics 
  • Proficient working with other tools such as Hotjar, Unbxd, Unbounce, Hubspot, Figma, Sketch, or Asana 
  • Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn quickly and implement a new project in a timely manner with an emphasis on quality 
  • Organized and methodical designer developer with the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time 
  • Keen awareness of the latest marketing trends and merchandising best practices 
  • Background working with ecommerce brands or marketplaces with a natural curiosity to test, measure, and iterate in order to drive results 
  • Organized individual with exceptional project management skills and a natural cultural leader with a high level of autonomy 
  • Ability to support the brand’s defined voice, tone, aesthetic and nomenclature of the site 
  • Highly analytical, experience providing test results and grounding success with data 
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal 
  • Natural curiosity to test, analyze, report, and learn 
  • A thirst to learn, staying up-to-date on marketing and marketplace best practices and industry trends
